Youth Tee Shirt Size Guide
How this shirt fits:
This tee has a classic, generous, slightly boxy fit compared to slimmer retail brands - similar to the relaxed cut of our adult tees. If you want a closer fit, consider sizing down.
Not able to measure your child right now? Here's a rough guide by age and numerical clothing size:
| Size | Age | Weight | Numerical Size |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 4-5 yrs | ~35-45 lbs | 4-5 |
| S | 6-7 yrs | ~45-55 lbs | 6-8 |
| M | 8-10 yrs | ~55-75 lbs | 10-12 |
| L | 10-12 yrs | ~75-95 lbs | 14-16 |
| XL | 14-16 yrs | ~95-120 lbs | 18-20 |
How to use this chart:
"Length" is measured from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom hem. "Chest" is the shirt's full chest circumference - measure your child around the fullest part of their chest, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight, then compare to the numbers below.
Finding the right size:
For a comfortable everyday fit with a little room to grow, pick a size where the chest measurement is about 3-6" larger than your child's chest measurement. For a closer fit, aim closer to 1-2" of room.
For length, measure a shirt your child already wears and likes the length of, laid flat from shoulder seam to hem, and compare to the chart.
This is a general guide - kids vary a lot in build, so a chest or length measurement will always be more accurate than age alone if you can get one.
| Size | Length (in) | Chest (in) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 20 1/2 | 32 |
| S | 22 | 34 |
| M | 23 1/2 | 36 |
| L | 25 | 38 |
| XL | 26 1/2 | 40 |
